After working for several months with Yeshwant sir and his team, it was time to start marketing the Sacred River Festival (SRF). The crucial requirement at this juncture was to develop a dedicated website that would comprehensively document the festival on an annual basis. So I sarted the process of designing the website.
The SRF, presented by The Devi Ahilya Bai Holkar Charitable Memorial Trust and Ms. Mary McFadden, is a distinctive cultural event providing guests with four days of immersion in India’s rich performing arts, showcasing vocal, instrumental, and dance idioms. Each morning of the festival features intimate lecture demonstrations with interactions between the moderator, Anjana Rajan, the artists, and resident guests. The evening performances take place in the picturesque settings of Maheshwar’s riverbank ghats, temples, and fort battlements.
This newly created website becomes the foundation of a future archive, documenting this event, year by year.
Design Instructions:
- The SRF website should incorporate elements from the parent site – Ahilya Fort.
- Use Lato typeface.
- Keep the design minimal, content readable.
- Add a gallery of festival images.
- Add a form. Connect it to mailchimp.
